I was giddy when this showed up in my inbox!!! CATS!!!! What a fun kit.
The colors are awesome and the alphabet is fabulous. I think I'll be using this alphabet a lot.
The way it shines on black totally ROCKS!
The kit SPACE CAT and NEON Alphabet, new from Holliewood Studios are on sale for a short time...and it's not just the cats! (while they are FAB) the special effects and splatters.... oh, they can be used anywhere!
The creative things stored inside the head of me, Nonni aka Arline aka The Crazy Cat Lady. WOODLAND FAIRIES, PAPERS & DWELLINGS
Oh, dear. I have fallen behind. Wedding photo editing as kept me busy and I am behind on my posts. I am so sorry. Anyone out there? SOMEONE comes here to see what's knocking around in my head, no?
The last two weeks Xquizart has come out with the most adorable kits. The Woodlands Series. First a kit of collectibles and two different paper collections. Then followed up with Woodlands 2 and Dwellings. Oh, my!!!!! Fairy overload... (and I mean that in a good way)
I had so much fun creating with these adorable artdolls and embellishments I honestly hated to go to work!!!!!
Here's a look at what I created. (no one's really here to listen to me ramble are they?)

ALABASTER
Good Morning from sunny New Hampshire. Yes, I said SUNNY! No snow today!! WAHOOOOO.
Today Xquizart releases her newest kit "Alabaster". LOVE IT!!! Yes, I know I always say that, but this one I really do adore. There are some that I can just keep playing with... over and over. This is going to be one of those that I continue to come back to. I enjoy working with all of them, but this climbs up to my all time five favorites. Something about these girls!
The kits are on sale this week. 20% off

TWO MORE STORMS, TWO NEW KITS
Goodness, have I gotten behind. Seems like very time I get a new kit to work on I get a new snowstorm to shovel! We are definitely in the polar vortex this winter. I stopped counting after seven feet of snow, and it snowed last night and is snowing right now... like crazy.. and I don't even think THIS round was in the forecast.
Anyway... that's not why you're here is it???
It's catch up time! Kits released on February 9th and 16th by Xquizart.
"Midnight Blue" Collectibles and Papers and "Old Gold" Collectibles and Papers.
Very different from each other and so much fun to play with.

"Midnight Blue" Collectibles and Papers and "Old Gold" Collectibles and Papers.
Very different from each other and so much fun to play with.
This one above was created with Xquizart's Midnight Blue papers and collectible as well as a frame, seashells and sparkles from Pink Lotty's "Blue Sea"
I don't always succeed, but I enjoy trying to use a kit WITHOUT using the dolls for at least one page. Again, I don't always accomplish the task, but this one was easy!
Lately I've been all about the head decor. (a page for another day with some other kits) but here is what I accomplished with Midnight Blue. First with it's original colors then I went a little off course with NOTHING but BLUE.
No stories with this set. Not sure why. I usually have a story for everything, whether you want to hear it or not.. lol
Lastly.... Don't Cage Your Dreams
(At least that one got a title)
Background from this last one is from Holliewood's "All that Glitters" papers. My all time favorite paper kit. Goes with everything. :)
On to the next storm..... Another blizzard, another foot of snow.. and OLD GOLD!!!!!
While this first one didn't actually have a story... it had a name, which changed the longer I looked at it. I started out calling it "Mantle". Yeah, pretty lame, I know. The longer I looked at it though it came to me...
I present TROPHY WIFE (giggles)
Just stick her up there with the hockey trophy, why don't ya?
This next piece is "THE CAT TAMER"
Created with Xquizart's
"OLD GOLD" Background from her "Reckless Goth ATC" Tiger from
Holliewood Studio's "LaVie Boheme" and black cat from "Hotel Hell"
Golden Relections (above) was created with Old Gold Collectibles and Holliewood's "All That Glitters" paper for a background.
Last but not least "The Entry"....
This one was very last minute, but for some reason ended up being my favorite piece from this kit.
I'm sure I'll come back to it and play again. Love the vintage dolls, the soft colors and all the beautiful clothing.
Thank you for stopping by!

A BLIZZARD AND A NEW KIT
Greetings, Everyone!
Hello from BLIZZARD country!!!! It's been a fun week. Over thirty inches of snow later, I have to say "I thought it would look like more!" I'm sure if I drove into the city it would, since they really have no place to put it... for us... the wind blew it around and some spots had next to nothing, and other parts (like my garden fence) are completely buried on one side.
I'm a little bit behind on blog posting. I should have had this done on Tuesday but I was either shoveling, or just taking photos of Bob out in the bitter cold keeping ahead of the storm.
It was a great day for bird watching. I filled all the feeders the night before and it's a good thing I did. It was a feeding frenzy.
Tuesday gave way to a most beautiful Wedensday here in southern New Hampshire. I am lucky enough to work in the center of town with a view of the town green and the old 1600s meeting house out my office window.
You can't beat the view!!!
The photo below is where I work. I used a Topaz effect called "Ghostly" on this. It was a gorgeous day, but I wanted to play a little. It was a bonus that the Town Hall came out pink!!!!
Wednesday was NOT a disappointment. Even as it ended. While leaving work I stopped to catch the sun going down. Life in a small New England town. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
It's Friday now, and snowing again. Hoping for a lot of photo opportunities this weekend. But, until then, I'd better get back to why I'm really here....
Xquizart released her newest kit on Monday. "SARA" Artdolls and Papers . LOVING HER! I find her compatible with EVERYTHING and I think she's going to move in and share a room with some of the Shades of Grey Collectibles as I think these girls could be related. ;)
Here's Sara showing off some of her paper swatches on the runway.
Background is from Holliewood Studio's "Void" v.2 kit.
This diary page above also used a frame from her "Mulberry Collectibles", and dark paper from her "Marionette Dark"kit.
My next piece used paper from Holliewood Studio's new "Altered Reality" and fog from her "Theatre of Dreams" kit.
I used a quote from one of my favorite Robert Frost poems. His farm is the next town over from where I live and I remember singing this song in high school chorus. Taking the road less traveled certainly DOES make all the difference.
The piece above was created with help from Eenas Creations "Longing for Past Days" kit. I think going out on a limb and going all sepia worked for this piece.
My next piece was created with a bunch of Xquizart's "Shades of Grey" embellishments. See, I told you she'd be moving in! ;) The back ground out the window is from Eena's Creations "Longing for Past Days".
I leave you today thinking "size matters". Had to play a little and show off all the lace. ... or maybe the shoes... as it's always about the shoes.
Hope this message finds you smiling.

WHERE I COME FROM
Lexington Avenue
Bradford, Massachusetts
They don't even call it Bradford anymore. It's name has been officially changed to "Haverhill". It was always a part of Haverhill. Separate but the same. We were the kids on the other side of the river, the other side of the tracks. We were "South" Main, to their Main Street.
Times have changed, haven't they? No more Bradford. No more memories (or so it seems) for the kids of today like we had. (Today they sit inside glued to their iPad.)
Staying outside till the streetlights came on. Then we knew we'd better get our butts home. We were taught to take care of others. Always shoveling the next door neighbor (who lived to be 102) before we did our own walk. Never asking for anything in return.
It was back before seatbelts when we all piled into the back of the McKay's stationwagon for a summer evening drive to the ice cream stand. It was cops and robbers back when the good guys always won.
It was the place of your first crush, your first kiss (okay, maybe not mine... I was a late bloomer) It was where everyone sat at the table to eat dinner together. It was where you walked everywhere. It's where you played in the mud, got dirty, and sometimes even locked out of the house to "get some fresh air" (so your mother could watch her soaps on the one tv you had) when fresh air, was what we always got.
It's the place where lasting friendships were created and where memories were made.
It's where we came from.

A PENNY FOR YOUR THOUGHTS
This week Xquizart released another adorable kit. Goodness, she is keeping my creative mind going! Very exciting. Remember, all her kits can be found here. New kits are 20% for a short time.
These two new kits are titled "Pale Penny" and "Penny For Your Thoughts". I love the colors and the feeling these dolls relay. I may have gotten a little dark in some of my postings, but hopefully in a positive way with reflections on the past, not worrying about the future and in the hopes that everyone knows that they are never alone.
In a cross reference to the thoughts I sometimes project, if anyone knows me personally, they know I wear a black ring on my trigger finger and often refer to #22kill. #22kill is a veterans advocacy campaign to bring awareness to our returning vets. An estimated 22 Soldiers kill themselves every day. While I can say let go of the past, remember you are not alone, and live in the moment; for many that is just too hard of a concept to grasp. We are there in hopes of seeing them through the darkness to light on the other side.
Please always reach out, listen or just be there. Sometimes a warm hello is what gets a person through their day. Please, ask them for a "Penny For Their Thoughts"
